What is a Lions club?
A Lions club is a group that comes together and shares a common interest in community service, supporting the Lions motto "We Serve."

What projects are the Chippewa Lake Lions involved in?

In addition to supporting programs such as Leader Dog for the blind, Kid Sight, Ear Lab, & Welcome Home for the Blind, Chippewa Lake Lions have:

1.  Provided sponsorship for local students to participate in the Lion’s Band
2.  Sponsored local students to participate in Project Close-Up
3.  Provided the volunteers and materials to build wheel chair ramps in the area.
4.  Were happily involved in sponsoring the newly formed Chippewa Lake Little League
5.  Provided eye exams and glasses for the needy
6.  Donated to the Chippewa Lake Fireworks exhibit
7.  Held “Meet the Candidates” forums for the benefit of the community
8.  Honored local citizens at the Citizen of the Year Awards
9.  Many other activities are held throughout the year
10. Community members may borrow crutches, wheel chairs, walkers, or portable bedside potty chairs by contacting any Lion.

Two poker runs are held on the lake each year to raise the funds necessary for these projects and others.  The Lions have joined forces with the Chippewa Lake Young Women's Club and Chippewa Lake Community Church on various projects. Serving the community and Lionism is a family affair!
